Abstract

Discourses about lesbian love circulate in different social spaces, different media and cultural artifacts. This article studied literary texts published on online reading platforms such as Wattpad and Amazon Kindle, with the aim of understanding what discourses about lesbian love constitute these texts. One of the forms of love between women found starts from an ethical exercise of loving, in which the love for the other woman is also configured as a love of the self, from which it is possible to create an art of living for oneself. The article discusses to what extent lesbian love as love of the self works as stated in the speeches of seven books that tell love stories between women published independently on the aforementioned digital platforms.

É doutora em Educação pela Universidade Federal de Pelotas. Mestre em Educação e Licenciada em História pela mesma instituição. Atua como professora substituta na Faculdade de Educação da UFPel, bem como na rede municipal de ensino na cidade de Pelotas - RS. Integra o Grupo de Pesquisa Políticas dos corpos, Cotidianos e Currículos (POC’s-UFPel).

É docente da Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel), atua no Departamento de Ensino e no momento é coordenador adjunto do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação. É líder do Grupo de Pesquisa Políticas dos corpos, Cotidianos e Currículos (POC’s-UFPel) e coordenador do Centro de Memórias LGBTI João Antônio Mascarenhas (UFPel, UFES & Grupo Arco-Íris-RJ).
