Abstract

The governance of contemporary environmental problems implies that we take into consideration the conjuncture as well as the long-term symbolic processes. In the last decades, the interdisciplinary approach became an indispensable tool to understand the complexity of the environmental problems. However, some of the interdisciplinary streams which would allow us to understand the relationship between the environmental issues and the civilization processes much better are still not very well explored. In order to explore that demand in the context of the contemporary modernity, this essay intends to develop relevant aspects of the interfaces of the philosophical and theological thoughts with the environmental problems.
