Abstract

The work discusses the possibilities of refuge in the current society of control, using the concept of marronage to characterize the entire historical, cultural and political process of agglutination of subaltern forces, conjuring up a matrix of unprecedented forms of life that refer to a cosmopoetics. This is where the production of worlds occurs, the creation of an outside of the slave society and later of other forms of capture, which have a refuge value and a concrete utopia for all those who still remain captive. The art of escape, which the historical experience of marronage represents, is constituted as one of the modalities, a subversion from within, be it the colony or our control society. In these dark times in which control mechanisms proliferate, resistance must be furtive rather than frontal, avoiding exposure and capture. Marronage means less a form of conquest than of subtraction from power, and cosmopoetics is not a fetish, or a trademark, just a term, a way among others to point to another relationship with the world that privileges listening more than vision.
