With this writing we propose to present a history of women's soccer told by Placar magazine between the years of 1980-2010. Therefore, 23 magazines that are presented in the text and divided into three decades were used. The first decade of 1980 - 1990 has clear traces of Decree Law 3.199, and thus, the magazine strives to present players in poses or actions that reminds the normativity of gender, in this period comes the S.C Radar, which became known as the most successful team of the Brazilian women's soccer. The next decade, is marked by international events and the dichotomy in spreading information and images of women soccers and models who actually played the soccer. In the decade that spanned the years 2000-2010, is marked by the good performance in international events and the yearning of professionalization, which remains a bit far from becoming reality.
