The “docile bodies” and the socio-educational institutions

This text focusses some of the disturbing questions about the disciplinary processes in socio-educational institutions of internment of juvenile offenders. For its development we use the foucaultian perspective, in order to problematize some constituent elements of education for young people deprived of liberty. The reflections are inducted from the idea of docile bodies proposed by Michel Foucault. The tensioning between official standards and the implemtation in environments of privation of liberty of juvenile offenders lieves much to be desired. To think education, in this context, it is necessary to reavaluate the public regulatory politics of the educational system, since often they become invisible to society. It is necessary, also, to take account to the singularity of all actors involved in this scenary. Even though it is not just recent field of research, there are many questions that are not solved by the different areas, mainly in relation to education of young people deprived of liberty.References
