Land struggle from a feminist perspective

In this article we present a problematization of women's political participation in the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST), dealing with their roles in the dispute over land, which leads to attempts to build new gender relations in the daily lives of camps and settlements. The objective is to understand the relationship between this social struggle and the feminist struggle, reflecting on the ways in which the MST has worked on these issues within the organization since the 2000s, through the consolidation of an internal organizational body called “Gender Sector”. We seek to understand the limits faced in the creation of this sector and in its subsequent operations, identifying the challenges to expand and qualify the protagonism of women within the organization and in the daily struggle for land.
