The aim of the article was to understand organizational practices through narrative analysis in organizations inserted in the context of the local creative economy in the city of Caruaru, Pernambuco, Brazil. Two organizations located in the Agreste region of Pernambuco were accessed: an organization related to the popular culture segment and another organization related to the information technology and startup development segment. We use the nature of qualitative research, using the triangulation of methods such as participant observations, semi-structured interviews and document research. From the empirical material collected, we found that organizations are practices constituted by narratives. We have accessed six of these practices: puppet-making practice, rehearsal practice, event-making practice, teaching-learning practice, presentation practice, and incubation practice. We analyzed the strategies and the tactics. The tactics were perceived as practices of construction of spaces in imposed places. We discuss the Creative Economy practiced in Caruaru as a context in which organizational practices take place and are tensioned, showing strong heterogeneity.
