Abstract

Considering the subjects of conceptual order that exist in the epistemological universe of the information science, the main goal is to discuss about the relevance and the possible theoretical-methodological contribution of the history of concepts to the information science concerning the efforts to explain the concepts that belong to its theoretical picture. Therefore, initially, some theoretical-discipline interpretations of the information science were approached and, soon after, the meanings of scientific concept and history of concepts were discussed in the sense of pointing for a possible dialogue between this theoretical-methodological and the epistemological discussions in the field of the information science.
