In the web context, spammers are subjects and or automatic procedures that engage metadata assignment practices and linguistic behavior. When coupled to a content of greater popularity, the spam is spread out in order to increase the visibility of content. From the assumption that the spammer practice carries aspects that tend to a semiosis link between the main video from YouTube and the idea that spammers attempt to convey, this study, based on Peircean Semiotics, try to establish a connection between the spammer practice and the concept of semiosis, in order to understand the informational and sociocommunicational logic that characterizes the spammers on YouTube. As a result it was produced a description, a characterization of the type of spammer practice and an analysis of the impact on the organization and information retrieval in digital collaborative environments of video sharing.
