Avaliação e tradução: considerações sobre a análise computadorizada de erros

Resumen

Perdurou por muito tempo na área da tradução métodos avaliativos pouco criteriosos, baseados em níveis de correspondência com o texto de partida e pautados por princípios genéricos e não definidos de fidelidade e equivalência. Na avaliação de traduções, no âmbito de ensino, a conferência magistral, isto é, a versão autorizada do professor permanece sendo usada como parâmetro de aceitabilidade dos textos produzidos por estudantes. Nesse contexto, torna-se imperativo o desenvolvimento de critérios e métodos avaliativos mais claros e que sirvam como retroação e como guia para práticas pedagógicas orientadas à necessidade de aprendizagem real de discentes. Com isso em mente, este artigo visa a descrever e considerar a aplicabilidade de uma metodologia componencial a processos avaliativos mais objetivos: a análise computadorizada de erros. Com a descrição de um sistema de anotação de erros, o Translation-oriented Annotation system, pretende-se demonstrar como a análise de erros pode ser integrada ao processo avaliativo no ensino de tradução, fornecendo subsídios para adaptações/ reelaborações de planos de ensino e de materiais didáticos que supram as dificuldades relativas à produção linguística de estudantes de tradução.
