Research and education of critical intellectuals in graduate Education courses

The article discusses some characteristics of the critical intellectual and suggests evaluation criteria for the effective education of this intellectual in the realm of graduate degree courses in education.
It critically analyses the conditions in which Brazilian intellectuals are educated in these times of a decreasing respect for knowledge. Finally, the article analyzes the reproduction of the structure of alienated daily life in educational institutions, including the university and graduate education programs.
