Abstract

Many high school teachers would like to innovate their teaching activities, however they do not know alternatives teaching methods, which have already shown good results and which are viable for the reality of their classrooms. This paper presents a didactic experience in teaching fundamental concepts of Electromagnetism to high school classes, by using the methods Peer Instruction and Just-in-Time-Teaching combined. It describes the preparation of teaching materials, the context and the way in which they were implemented, and the results obtained in relation to learning content and the attitudes of the students; all of them widely positive.
