This paper aims to carry out a discussion on the movement of historiographical revision of populism. Quite in vogue in the 1960's, 1970's and 80's, historiographical interpretations over the period 1930-1964 based on the notion of "populism" began to be criticized most emphatically in the last two decades. In the pages of this article, we will discuss, critically, the two main currents that led (lead) the movement of historiographical revision of populism, which seems to gain more and more followers in the media and academic spaces.
