Studies about the Brazilian rock and roll in the 1980’s have been attracting attention in the academic context. Several researchers, mostly influenced by the perspectives of cultural studies, intend to interpret this historical moment
by investigating the attitude of rock and roll artists towards a world in constant transformations. Due to a variety of thematic possibilities, the forms that rock and roll groups approached the subject of this work were given attention. Indeed, it was chosen five songs from different artists and groups, thereby aiming to confront the central theme of this proposal.
