In this interview, conducted in May 2014 in the village of Serra do Padeiro (Tupinambá de Olivença Indigenous Land, southern Bahia), chief Babau (Rosivaldo Ferreira da Silva) discusses the history of expropriation and resistance of the Tupinambá. The interview highlights the indigenous territorial conception, for which the land belongs to non-human entities known as enchanted beings, was built by ancestors and is a condition for the possibility of autonomous life.
