The aim of this work is to consider, through the translation trails of Emilie Snethlage's text, some reflections on the impasses and delights of the challenging and thought-provoking experiences built by the author on her expeditionary journey along the Iriri and Curuá rivers. Through the translation, we were able to retrace the author's trails, traveling on the one hand tortuous paths and on the other pleasurable ones, but mainly, absorbing more human and valuable lessons for our journey. For example, respect for the diverse forms of life in their singularity. Through this translation, we learned to build bridges, dialogues and adventures full of challenges and obstacles along the way, but with diverse flavors and breaths of strong emotions. Through Snethlage's pioneering gaze, we have the opportunity to expand the narrow gaps of our vision about the world and in this way, we learn more and better about life and nature and we also have the chance to live in a relaxed and respectful way with other living beings.
