Author Biography

Pedro Carneiro, Ruhr Universität Bochum

Pedro Carneiro has a PhD in History from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). In 2018, his doctoral thesis was awarded the Revealed Memories Award of the National Archive. Last year he published the book "A invenção do Inimigo. História e memória dos dossiês e contradossiês da ditadura militar brasileira (1964-2001)". Between 2015 and 2016 he worked as at the Institute for Social Movements of the Ruhr University of Bochum and more recently, he completed a Post-Doctorate at the Fluminense Federal University (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), working on innovative research in the field of digital history. Since 2022 he is a Research Associate at the Department of History of the Ruhr University of Bochum (Germany).
