Eric Nepomuceno is a journalist, writer and translator. Born in 1948, he started working as a journalist in the mid-1960s. From 1969 to 1976 he worked at Jornal da tarde, in São Paulo, where he was sent as a correspondent to several Latin American countries. Nepomuceno is internationally recognized for having translated into Portuguese several giants of Hispanic-American literature, such as Gabriel García Marquez, Eduardo Galeano, Juan Rulfo, Julio Cortázar, among others.
