This Spanish-Portuguese translation refers to the chronicle “El imperio de las amazonas”, which makes up the book Apuntes del viaje en el Oriente Peruano (1905), written by the German explorer and civil engineer Jorge M. Von Hassel, being published by Imprenta y Librería de San Pedro, in Lima (Perú). It is a book of short stories and chronicles, in the first person, in which Hassel narrates and describes indigenous places and societies through his experiences as an engineer, through his work for the Lima Geographic Society.
