This paper presents five theatrical translation experiences in which the author participated, carried out in the last 25 years (between 1997 and 2022), taking into account the projects in which the translation was inserted, the way it was carried out, their respective scopes, as well as the translator's position in each of these projects. Since this is an area that has been little studied, closely observing the theatrical translation processes, it is important to note some specificities. Firstly, theatrical translation sometimes participates in staging projects that are not published or posted, in such a way that the history of working processes and very productive results is lost, and it is necessary to note these experiences - of a personal nature, but aiming at dialogues. Secondly, to show the richness of this activity, its variety and possibilities for action. Thirdly, these projects also publicize fundamental authors of Western theatre, who receive little attention and research. With this, we hope to shed light on the position of the theatrical translator within the scope of theatre studies and literary studies.
